DALLAS, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) (TI) introduced today a new release of its Web site (http://www.ti.com ) incorporating expanded product trees and enhanced search tools. The new Web design makes it easier and quicker for design engineers to access product information and support materials critical for their high-performance designs. (See http://www.ti.com/sc05251 .)

"TI is not only committed to providing our customers with some of the industry's highest performance products but the tools that help them find the products and design resources that they need to get their products to market quickly," said Scott Roller, Texas Instruments director of Internet Marketing. "TI conducted extensive market research with design engineers to understand how they select products and look for technical information and tools on the web. We have incorporated that feedback into the new web design. Designers are now one click away from the product information, design tools, applications notes and technical information they need to get to market faster."

Designed with the engineer in mind, the new website is built using a component-based architecture that allows engineers to view relevant content based on where they are on the site. Engineers are no longer forced to browse through complex and confusing navigational menus. Instead, the new TI web site navigation is focused around expanded product trees and an enhanced parametric search tool allowing engineers to find and select devices quicker. The new web site features:

-- One click access to an Enhanced Parametric Search Engine from expanded
        product trees
-- Device Quick Searches that allow new and experienced engineers to view
recommended products based on minimal search criteria
-- Front and Center Quick Access to key product information including new
products, selection guides, design support, system block diagrams,
        reference designs, and training material.

The new site is also context sensitive, providing engineers with relevant design resources such as new products, applications notes and technical documentation throughout the device selection process.

TI will continue to offer world-class sample support providing engineers with free samples shipped within 24 hours of the request. Engineers will also find it easier to add other relevant devices directly to sample requests with the aid of a new tool that provides additional device recommendations that are complementary to the user's application.

While TI's home page address, http://www.ti.com , and aliases such as http://power.ti.com , http://amplifier.ti.com , http://dataconverter.ti.com , http://interface.ti.com and http://dsp.ti.com and product folder links remain the same, some page addresses will change, possibly requiring customers to update a few favorite TI web page bookmarks.
